About

Louise Douse

ACMT, PhD, SMA

I have a special interest in treating chronic pain conditions and acute injuries, through a combination of massage treatment and exercise.

With an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, I combine the best techniques from both Eastern and Western practices to offer individualised and effective treatments.

I first qualified in massage in 2013, continuing my training with the addition of deep tissue massage and chair massage.

My continued professional development led me to the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage Training in Brighton where I trained as an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist in 2015 following a years worth of studying and practical training.

Since then I have also qualified in pregnancy massage in 2019 and in advanced myofascial release in 2022.

I have also picked up a variety of exercise and movement based qualifications, from my initital dance/performing arts degree training to a specialised PhD in dance and wellbeing.

I have attended a number of exercise rehab courses addressing strength and conditioning, rehab for low back pain and movement prescription.
