Massage for Relaxation
Massage is widely accepted as promoting health, wellbeing and encouraging relaxation.
As the most familiar form of massage, Swedish massage relieves muscle tension, improves circulation and restores flexibility, while also relaxing the entire body and mind.
Swedish massage promotes recovery without addressing specific concerns, as would a clinical massage treatment.
Techniques involve long, sweeping strokes combined with firmer kneading, percussion (tapping movements) and stretching. The pressure used during a treatment is easily adjusted to each individual.
This is a passive treatment, lie back and relax whilst massage techniques focused upon calming and relaxing the soft tissue are applied.
This is typically a full body massage or back treatment when time is limited.
Client Testimonials
I would highly recommend her for anyone suffering from aches and pains who is looking for a massage therapist to help resolve those complaints whilst also wanting to feel relaxed.

Having a massage is part of making sure I do some “self care” and that I find the time in between working and running children around to look after me.

Where can you find my treatment studio?
I’m based at Kamilla Barry Osteopaths in Bishop’s Stortford. You can find us in Hockerill Court on London Road. The walkway to Hockerill Court is just at the Hockerill lights opposite Suds laundrette.
The practice room is on the second floor, and there are no lifts available. Please do get in contact if this is an issue and we can try to arrange something to suit.
The space has a relaxing reception on the ground floor, where you can wait in comfort for your appointment.
