Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage

Massage for mums-to-be. A mix of relaxation and clinical massage.

Pregnant woman don’t only need a relaxation massage, they want to be truly treated for their headaches, back aches, sciatica, swollen ankles, and symphysis pubis dysfunction.

Your treatment time will be focused entirely upon your needs – there is no massage ‘formula’ to follow.

It is usually a mix of relaxation massage and ‘hot-spot’ clinical massage focussing on the specific aches and pains you are experiencing.

I use a mix of techniques including trigger point therapy, stretching exercises, and relaxing effleurage strokes

EFFLEURAGE

Deep, longitudinal pressure, to encourage elongation in the muscle tissue.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Freeing restrictions that arise due to fascial adhesions within the soft tissue.

TRIGGER POINT

A hyper irritable spot in a skeletal muscle that is often painful on compression.

STRETCHING

To increase range of motion and introduce movement back in to the body.

Client Testimonials

I would highly recommend her for anyone suffering from aches and pains who is looking for a massage therapist to help resolve those complaints whilst also wanting to feel relaxed.

Emma Riedo

I went to see Louise in my second trimester with terrible neck and shoulder pain that was keeping me up at night. She was really thorough and attentive and after two sessions the pain had completely gone.

Holly Willkinson

I went to visit Louise after several months of constant pain in my neck and shoulders. It was a wonderful experience, and I could feel the knots melting away during the course of the session.

Where can you find my treatment studio?

I’m based at Kamilla Barry Osteopaths in Bishop’s Stortford. You can find us in Hockerill Court on London Road. The walkway to Hockerill Court is just at the Hockerill lights opposite Suds laundrette.

The practice room is on the second floor, and there are no lifts available. Please do get in contact if this is an issue and we can try to arrange something to suit.

The space has a relaxing reception on the ground floor, where you can wait in comfort for your appointment.
